Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories which produce enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the noises generated from the forklift itself.
The sound needs to be readily discernible from other audible devices or noises in the work environment. Sound should be readily discernible from other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device can employee noise exposure and end up contribute to OSHA noise limitation; therefore, care should be taken.
Hearing protection makes it trickier to hear the audible device and to distinguish what distance and direction it is coming from. Audible devices could sometimes get disabled from employees and operators as they could find them really irritating. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass so as to avoid injuries. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator can choose the performance need for the specific application. What's more, it enables a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to lessen and adjust the maximum performance of the model allows a new operator to learn the equipment's operating features in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machinery in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
