Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is aiming for a new customer base with their new array of heavy forklift trucks. Various industries, from the natural stone and concrete businesses, to the steel business, the transportation of heavy goods in the ports and the railway sector are all working with and depending on heavy duty machines. The efficiency and power offered by the models keep operational costs low and offer the very best conditions for efficient work. These types of machines can excel in the most demanding environments.
Providing the needed power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines which have 6 cylinders. These types of forklifts can take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It provides for a high climbing ability on steep slopes and rough terrain and also provides great acceleration.
The operator could use a switch in order to choose 1 of 2 driving modes. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on heavy loads or difficult terrain. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save a lot of fuel during light-duty work. Furthermore, just by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving function. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the equipment comfortable to use and easy to maneuver.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a spacious and comfortable working place. The cabin combines high performance with fatigue-free work. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was ergonomically designed to offer a bird's eye view of all of the controls, in addition to the overall safety of the unit. A CD player and an MP3 player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere which Hyundai machines are supposed to have.
