Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery produced by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial environments where the machine should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel powered generator using a 48 Volt DC machine.
Several of the important characteristics offered by this combination comprise over, out and up positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also provide precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. The 48V DC electric drive system provides quiet and emission free operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are great for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machinery on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These equipment are great in narrow or small places. Furthermore, they provide terrain and grade maneuverability, utmost power and exceptional torque. The diesel engines are quiet in general too. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces that are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models as well.
