Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the person utilizing it to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In situations requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It comes with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would usually utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform which is meant to lift employees is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
