The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been outfitted with a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters and an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other types of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great traction and drive speed. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and is able to stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. 360° continuous rotating turntables offer easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This unit can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were previously unreachable by typical jibs. The Z-80/60 model's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This particular feature allows up and over reaching tasks to be done with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms have to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be fully elevated simultaneously. Both of Genie Fast Mast System's features lessens the time needed for users to ascend and descend, increasing both productivity and efficiency.
