CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their objectives because they know the bottom line is performance and reliability.
Boom lifts come in 2 general types, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these models are normally hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the great alternative for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be vertically raised to below horizontal. Because the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machine. These models come in gas, diesel or propane configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks that straight telescopic booms cannot complete. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers in order to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is required before using boom lifts in order to guarantee the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs that used to need many more man hours to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machinery have greatly increased production and have revolutionized the material handling industry.
