Due to the growing requirement for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks, Nissan has taken the initiative to develop the first pantograph type reach truck in the industry. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow really soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is offered in 3 capacities. These load capacities vary from 1360 kg to 2000. The system was developed thanks to intensive operator contribution on the design. These considerations played a big part to guarantee its acceptance into the hugely competitive reach truck market in the US. The following outstanding operator comfort and safety features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Because of a low step height, exit and entry is simplified. The side stance design makes forward and reverse driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The model is complete with a gently sloped floorboard that is in place to sit over 4 vibration isolators. This particular design provides a relaxed driving position for the operator in a standing shift. Additionally, the SRX Platinum Series offers a cushioned floor mat to provide a more enjoyable and smoother ride.
The caster design of the dual spring suspension system adds to the machines smoothness of operation. This suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been made to offer much better stability during operation. The thick padding located beneath the operator's arm further enhances the total comfort factor. There is a height adjustable knee pad and cushioned backrest in place as well. The high operator backrest and the rear overhead guard post on the SRX Series provide additional operator protection. This is particularly important when working around racking and within tight locations.
Nissan's lift trucks have been built with the intuitive and ergonomically designed interior with a multi-function handle, that helps to achieve precise control while reducing operator comfort. Several of the Operational commands consist of lift and lower, drive, side-shift or other auxiliary function, reach, and the horn could be performed and executed by this single handle.
